Amber Shipman, MD

Child Abuse & Neglect Fellow - 8/31/2020

Dr. Amber Shipman grew up in Glenpool, Oklahoma, and graduated from the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics. She then remained in Oklahoma to pursue her undergraduate degree at the University of Tulsa and her medical degree at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa School of Community Medicine. She completed her pediatric training in Tulsa before relocating to Norfolk, Virginia, where she specialized in evaluating child abuse and neglect. After completing her training, Dr. Shipman was ready to return home.

She is excited to be back in Tulsa, where she can reconnect with her community and utilize her specialty training to help meet the needs of Oklahoma's families during their most difficult times, as well as all of the days that follow. In addition to her specialty training, Dr. Shipman's passions include education, healthy lifestyle counseling and wellness/preventive care. In her free time, Dr. Shipman enjoys video games, baking, musicals, singing, gardening and spending time with her husband, Chris, and cats, Pippin and Pistol.
